Le Max: A ticket to India for LeTV!

It had been just now the Yu Yutopia started tasting the limelight. With a QuadHD display, Snapdragon 810 and first in class 21 megapixel camera backed by Sony Exmor sensor Yutopia shattered the smartphone market with a ₹24,999 price tag with just an inch advantage over the OnePlus Two in specs.

China’s Letv, a technology and video streaming industry on December 26 announced  its plans to make an entry in Indian smartphone world by introducing Le Max. LeTV plans to launch Le Max in India on January 5. The phone is supposed to be the flagship model from Letv and packs itself with most high end specs you’d expect from established manufacturers.

Specs-wise the phone boasts a Snapdragon 810 Processor, 6.33-inch (2560×1440) display, a 4GB RAM and offers the user from 32, 64 or 128 GB of internal memory. Taking into consideration the mammoth screen size of Google’s past flagship, the Nexus 6 wasn’t able to bump up sales because of its 6 inch screen size which wasn’t good for single handed use. Coming back to Le Max, software wise it rocks Android Lollipop 5.0 based EUI (aka Eco User Interface) skin. The phone also features a 21 MP rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and f/2.0 aperture which are promising specs. The front 4 MP camera has a 81.6 degree wide-angle lens which should be a boon for selfie lovers. Le Max sports a huge 3,400mAh battery which should end up your device running through a day easily. The phone is expected with a price tag of ₹30,000 which is higher than Yu Yutopia and OnePlus Two-both of them boast identical specs with lower prices.

Although the specs look promising on the paper, will it be able to actually perform? Will this phone survive in the ever rising Indian phone competition? Snapdragon 810 is known for heating up the devices, so I am eager to see if the processor melts the device or melts our heart! Stay tuned as we’ll further review the phone.

  1. Shubham, nice post.
The device specs looks great, but Yu Yutopia is offering the same things with price $180 more low. So, it would be a tough competition for Le Max to survive overhere.
