List of Phones Getting Android N Soon!

Every year Google announces the latest iteration of it’s Android operating system at the Google I/O. However, the folks at Google had a different set of plans in mind this time around, releasing the Android N Developer Preview earlier than expected.

The preview is presently available only to the Nexus phones, Nexus 9 (WiFi and LTE), Nexus Player, Pixel C ,the Android One General Mobile 4G devices and also to the Sony Xperia Z3. The factory images are available for download for Nexus devices, as well as through a new Android Beta Program which allows supported devices to be upgraded via an OTA update.

The question that remains in everyone’s mind is whether or not their device will receive the latest offerings of Google! So here we are, bringing to you the list of smartphones that will get the update.

You might want to note that some of the information below are just rumours! So, we are not 100% sure actually but as always, these rumours are true maximum times! 🙂

It is also said that Android markets that lets you download paid apps for free like, Supersu apk, Getapk market will not function in this update, it is still not confirmed.

The Nexus lineup:

It isn’t very surprising that Google updates it’s Nexus lines first. Here is a list of all the devices that’ll get the update:

  • Nexus 5X
  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 6
  • Nexus 9
  • Nexus Player
  • Pixel C

These devices will be updated for sure. We also hope the Nexus 5 will get all the sweetness of Android N!

Motorola:

The only company other than Google to provide stock Android experience and timely updates to its devices.Here is a list of the possible devices lined up for the update:

  • Moto X Force
  • Droid Turbo 2
  • Droid Maxx 2 (2015)
  • Moto X Pure Edition
  • Moto X Style
  • Moto G 3rd Gen
  • Moto G Turbo Edition
  • Moto G 2nd Gen with 4G LTE

Android One:

An initiative launched by Google back in 2014, to provide Nexus like experience on budget phones. Google promised to keep these devices updated for upto 2 years from the date of their release. So there is no doubt they’ll receive Android N. Here’s a list of the One devices:

  • Micromax Canvas A1
  • Karbonn Sparkle V
  • Spice Dream Uno
  • Lava Pixel V1
  • Symphony Roar A50
  • Mito Impact
  • Evercross One X
  • Nexian Journey One
  • Cherry Mobile One
  • Aquaris A4.5
  • Q Mobile A1
  • General Mobile 4G( has Dev Preview)
  • Infinix Hot 2

HTC:

There have been no official announcements by HTC regarding which of their phones will be updated to N. Like last year, if HTC stuck to updating their devices within a 100 days of the release by Google. Here are the possible devices to be updated:

  • HTC 10
  • HTC One A9
  • HTC One X9
  • HTC One M9
  • HTC One M9 Plus
  • HTC One E9 Plus
  • HTC One E9
  • HTC One M8
  • HTC One E8

OnePlus:

OnePlus has just three devices to its credits as of now. The latest OnePlus Two and X are sure to get the update with a skin on top of them. An update in the form of Hydrogen OS can also be released. The update for the One though is up to Cyanogen Inc.

  • OnePlus Two
  • OnePlus X
  • OnePlus One

There are rumours of a OnePlus Three showing up which might as well be released with Android N.

Samsung:

Samsung is the only company that provides updates to their flagships without fail. Here are a few devices that’ll receive the update:

  • Galaxy S7 Edge
  • Galaxy S7
  • Galaxy S6 Edge Plus
  • Galaxy S6 Edge
  • Galaxy S6
  • Galaxy Note 5
  • Galaxy Note 4

Sony:

Sony has already provided the Android N developer preview for the Xperia Z3. We hope that Sony will provide timely updates to all its flagships. Here are s list of devices:

  • Xperia Z5 Premium
  • Xperia Z5
  • Xperia Z5 compact
  • Xperia Z3
  • Xperia Z4
  • Xperia C5 Ultra
  • Xperia C4
  • Xperia M5
  • Xperia M4 Aqua
  • Xperia Z3
  • Xperia Z3v
  • Xperia Z3 Compact
  • Xperia Z3 Tablet compact

LG:

LG isn’t really known for the updates, but it has a few great devices lined up to rock Android N, here are a few:

  • LG G5
  • LG G4
  • LG G Flex 2
  • LG V10

There is no official word from LG as yet, but let’s hope for the best!

Lenovo:

These are probably the phones that will get the update:

  • Lenovo K4 Note
  • Lenovo K3 Note
  • Lenovo ZUK Z1
  • Lenovo Vibe Shot
  • Lenovo Vibe Z2
  • Lenovo A7000
  • Lenovo Z2 Pro

Asus:

Even though Asus has a good lineup of devices, its not fast and good at releasing updates to its devices. The only possibility is for the Zenfone 2 series.

  • Zenfone 2 Series
  • Zenfone 2 Deluxe
  • Zenfone 2 Laser
  • Zenfone Selfie
  • Zenfone Maxx

Huawei:

Not all of Huawei phones are running Marshmallow 6.0 which makes it tough to say when they will receive the Android N update. Here are a few which might receive:

  • Huawei Honor 5X
  • Huawei Ascend P8
  • Huawei Ascend P8 Max
  • Huawei Honor 6 Plus
  • Huawei Honor 7
  • Huawei Honor 7S
  • Huawei Mate S

Xiaomi:

A number of devices from Xiaomi will surely get Android N update. Here are some of the devices that will surely get Android N update in the form of an updated MIUI.

  • Xiaomi Mi 3
  • Xiaomi Redmi NOTE 3
  • Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime
  • Xiaomi Mi4i
  • Xiaomi Mi4
  • Xiaomi MI Note
  • Xiaomi Mi Note Pro

Some of the other devices that might get the Android N update are:

  • Yu Yureka
  • Yu Yureka Plus
  • Infocus M2
  • Yu Yuphoria
  • Lava Iris X8.
