Apple Mac Pro’s “cheese grater” design will soon be a common sight on an iPhone, could probably be on the iPhone 13, or 14
Remember the Mac Pro’s cheese grater design everyone was talking about? Apple had introduced an innovative milled lattice pattern on the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR in 2019, which is created by machining a spherical array into the internal and external surfaces of the aluminum. The result is a lightweight lattice pattern that maximizes airflow while creating an extremely rigid structure. They’re now copying it to iPhones. Apple is researching expanding the 2019 Mac Pro’s distinctive “cheese grater” lattice design to other devices, including the iPhone and a “trashcan”-style Mac Pro, according to a newly granted patent filing. Apple…

Xiaomi releases the Mi 11 Ultra with a flagship grade camera set, including Mi 11 lite and Mi 11i globally
Xiaomi is one of the more interesting companies hailing from the East, and they have released some impressive smartphones over the past couple of years. The company has finally unveiled the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, and honestly, it has some nice tricks up its sleeve and some questionable ones. Right from the start, it is important to note that the Mi 11 Ultra is based on the standard Mi 11, which is not a bad phone by any means. However, there are some tweaks here and there that made them use the “Ultra” moniker. Xiaomi had already released the…

Earth is safe from Asteroid Apophis for another century, makes a close call in 2029, won’t collide into earth in 2068
After its discovery in 2004, asteroid 99942 Apophis had been identified as one of the most hazardous asteroids that could impact Earth. But that impact assessment changed as astronomers tracked Apophis and its orbit became better determined. Now, the results from a new radar observation campaign combined with precise orbit analysis have helped astronomers conclude that there is no risk of Apophis impacting our planet for at least a century. Astronomers have been keeping an eye on Apophis since its discovery in 2004, after initial estimations based on a more preliminary orbit suggested it would come uncomfortably close to our…

Scientists discover a new particle at CERN which is a force of nature
A team of researchers at the University of Chicago recently embarked on the search of a lifetime—or rather, a search for the lifetime of long-lived supersymmetric particles. The researchers believe they may have discovered a “brand-new force of nature” at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider that could explain why certain atomic particles behave unexpectedly and which may transform our understanding the rudiments of physics. Authors of the research said this week that their results should “get physicists’ hearts beating just a little faster” after they discovered evidence of a “brand-new” type of particle according to a study shared in a preprint…

Apple’s (AAPL) M1 Chip Gives It The Tools To Compete With Tesla Though The Apple Car
Late last year Cupertino tech giant Apple Inc made an oft-rumored big shift for its MacBook notebook lineup when it introduced a custom, in-house designed system-on-chip (SoC) for the lineup. Dubbed as the Apple M1, this chip is fabricated on the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) 5nm semiconductor node – one of the most advanced chipmaking techniques in the world. Yet, even though the M1 and potential successors aim to power Apple’s desktop and notebook computers, taking a high-level look at the chip’s design and comparing it to what Tesla Inc’s HW 3.0 computer offers, the aforementioned use cases might…
