Nvidia is working on it’s own version of AMD’s SAM(Smart Access Memory) for RTX 30 GPUs, will work with Intel and AMD chips!

When AMD launched their 6000 series of graphics cards, the main feature that made them stand out was the SAM or Smart Access Memory. This is a feature that effectively expands the data channels between it’s Ryzen CPU and Radeon GPU, giving the Ryzen system access to all of the Radeon GPU’s buffer memory. TSMC approves the investment of $3.5 billion into it’s Arizona R&D facility

A while back, TSMC announced a new semiconductor facility to be opened in Arizona this year where they would be manufacturing chips for AMD, Nvidia and most US companies. TSMC has now approved the investment for setting up the Arizona plant in the state.The approval comes as TSMC allocated more funds for capital investment to boost the production of semiconductors on advanced process nodes; nodes that can potentially include 5nm and 7nm processes, and even highly advanced 3nm and 2nm processes. Mediatek reveals new budget 5G chip based on the 6nm node, will power phones in the sub $300 range
