So the anticipation of the Google Nexus 2016 at the Google I/O this year was a waste because it was a stupid false rumour! But, here is one so called Legit leak that the HTC Made Google Nexus 2016 will be launched by the year’s Q4! 😀
Now, new report claims that Google Nexus 2016 release will not happen until Q4 this year. Google has always released its Nexus devices in the month of October and it is likely that the company will repeat the Nexus release pattern this year as well, according to The Bitbag.
According to popular leakster, Evan Blass, HTC is developing two new Android N devices for Google, and the devices are internally named as S1 and M1. “HTC is building a pair of Android N devices for Google internally dubbed M1 and S1 #nexus,” Blass tweeted, reported Android Police. The rumored Nexus 2016 devices have been dubbed as HTC Sailfish and Marlin.
It is expected that the upcoming Nexus 2016 devices will run Google’s next OS version- Android N, becoming the world’s first devices to come pre-loaded with the new Android iteration. Dave Bucker, VP of engineering with Google, has recently announced at the Google I/O 2016 on Wednesday that Android N would be available to users by late summer, according to IBTimes.
Rumor mills have it that at least one of HTC’s upcoming Nexus handsets will feature 3D Touch-like functionality. It is also rumored that one of the Nexus smartphones will be coming with a 5-inch display whereas the high-end version would be packed with a 5.5-inch display.
There are even reports which claim that Google might announce an updated version of the Nexus 6P smartphone. An upgraded Google Nexus 6P version was recently spotted on GFXBench benchmarking site. As per leaked reports, the new model will be powered by the current, top-tier Snapdragon 820 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB of RAM on the Nexus 6P and the unreleased Google operating system, Android N and ‘Marlin’ motherboard.
