LEAKED: Motorola working on Moto X4 Android One edition?

After almost 2years, we again witnessed Google’s lost budget initiative “Android One” edition smartphone coming up with the new Xiaomi A1. Well, when the new phase of Android One devices have started again, it ain’t stopping and today another leak about Moto X4 Android One edition proved it!

Pro leakster, @evLeaks today posted an image of “Android One” labelled Moto X 4th Generation and it seems Motorola is again working with Google in their budget segment devices finally!

Well, it’s been rumored for quite some time that Google’s Android One program would soon come to ‘Murica, but we never had any concrete evidence of this. Also, 9to5Google is claiming that the Moto X4 A1 will indeed be the USA’s first Android One phone. Now, for me it does makes some sense, as unlike Cherry Mobile, General Mobile, or even Xiaomi, Motorola is a quite a known brand stateside, and basing our first Android One device off of an existing phone would allow Google to properly gauge the market’s interest in it. This would also line up with the rumors of the X4 being a Project Fi device. Android One series is like coming out of the graves suddenly!

Aside from the OS front, the Moto X4 Android One edition should have the same specs as its non-tramp stamped brother. Which means we’ll have a 5.2″ 1080p display, a Snapdragon 630, 3 or 4 GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, a 12MP/8MP dual rear camera setup, a 16MP front-facing camera, a 3000mAh battery, and IP68 certification. Talking about the pricing and stuff, we ain’t sure yet. We’ll keep you posted regarding this.

Anyways, I’ve used a Android One(Micromax Canvas A1) in the past and my experience was amazing. It’s still be in the list of one of my best smartphones and I also wanted Moto to have a Android One handset in the lineup too after the release of Nexus 6, well.. Dreams do come true! 😀

There was once a news that mentioned about Reduction of Tsunami Disaster Risk by Communiqueasia a few months ago and said about the use of Android phones to track it.
