Lumigon T3: World’s First Phone With Night Vision Camera!

The Lumigon T3 has something that no other smartphone can claim to have: a night vision camera! Designed by the Danish company, Lumigon, famous for phones that go beyond the usual spec showdown, the phone has a lot more going for it than just its impressive camera.

It’s distinctive camera has a 4 megapixels sensor, complimented by 2 infrared LEDs  letting you take photos and videos in complete darkness. As an added bonus, the infrared light is invisible to human eyes and further adds to the stealth vibe.

The design is exquisite to look at, a fusion of metal and glass of some really high quality. While the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and fiberglass, the metal used is marine-grade 316 stainless steel. The phone is also dust and water resistant though we don’t know the details of the IP certification.

The 4.8 inches screen has an acceptable resolution of 720p and is of the SUPER AMOLED variety. For a phone whose photos will feature lots of blacks and whites, this sounds like the right choice. The processor hasn’t been specified though it is said to have a clock speed of 2.2 GHz with 8 cores. The device has 3 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It’ll be running Android Marshmallow out of the box.

Lumigon isn’t skimping on the other cameras on this device as the night vision camera isn’t all this offers. The primary camera is a 13 megapixels shooter while the secondary camera is a 5 megapixels one with flash for both cameras. A fingerprint sensor compliments a feature that Lumigon calls the Vault, which lets you secure everything from your passwords and photos to apps.

The phone also boasts two other unique features, an action button that you can use to launch the flashlight or an app and a small touch sensitive panel on the back that you can use for scrolling and even taking photos. The phone also comes with an infrared blaster that lets it function as a remote and supports 24 bit /192 kHz audio. You can enjoy the audio output on the high fidelity earphones that come with the phone. The phone also crams in support for 2 nano -SIMs.

All of this comes with a price and in the case of the Lumigon T3, that number is $925. That’s for the regular models of which only the black variant is currently available, with white and orange to follow later this month. The 24- karat gold edition costs $1,200 and is currently available only in the Black Gold variant. The Black Black (Gold Accents) and the White Gold variants will follow soon and there’s reportedly even a diamond variant somewhere down the line.

Android never disappoints in the variety it inspires and this is a worthy addition to its ever growing ranks. Share your love and awe for this phone down below in the comments. Did you like the Lumigon T3? 😀
